Boxer Naciqa Back On Track With Win

Lanky Fijian light heavyweight boxer Apisa Naciqa resurrected his boxing career with a split points win over Henry Tyrell at the Tuaniamato Sport Complex in Apia, Samoa, on Thursday night.

After a knockout win over Opeti Tagi in Nadi, last year, Naciqa suffered defeats to Joseph Kwadjo, Ato Plodzicki- Faoagali and Riley Powers of Australia.

In the main bout rising Samoa boxing star Plodzicki-Faoadali managed a points’ win over Jope Ubitau of Fiji.

Ubitau who came in as a replacement in the eleventh hour, stood toe-to-toe with the Samoan and exchanged punches in the middle of the ring to the excitement of the fans.
