Bua Central College (BCC) athletes are raring to participate in this year’s Fiji Finals (Coca-Cola Games) when it gets underway at Suva’s National Stadium on Thursday.

Speaking to SUNsports yesterday during their training session, BCC team captain Peniasi Vakalu said preparations have been going well as they are focused on the Fiji Finals.

“We are excited to participate at the Fiji Finals,” he said.

Vakalu said there are challenges faced by them as they were coming to Suva.

“One of the challenges we faced before coming for the Coke Games was funding especially our travelling cost to Suva and return,” he said. Vakalu said despite the challenge they managed to overcome it through the support of their parents and school. He also urged their supporters to come out in numbers to support the athletes.

“I invite all ex-scholars of Bua Central College, do please come in numbers to support us and cheer us on,” Vakalu added.
