Busy Week In Fiji For International Olympic Committee Boss

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) president Thomas Bach took to Albert Park, to meet with our sports people.
Bach was in the country to officially open the Oceania National Olympic Committees’ (ONOC) XLII Annual General Assembly at the Sheraton Fiji Resort in Deanrau, Nadi, on Tuesday.
During the General Assembly, Dr Robin Mitchell was re-elected as ONOC president.
He was elected unopposed and will serve another term, which ends in 2025.

Bach also paid a courtesy call to Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama on Wednesday. The Head of the Fijian Government congratulated Bach’s re-election as president of IOC for a second four-year term on March 10, 2021.
Bach later opened the new ONOC headquarters in Suva. This was followed by the ONOC’s 40th Anniversary dinner at the Grand Pacific Hotel.
