Mick Byrne has applied for the Flying Fijians head coach's job.
This was confirmed by the Fijian Drua franchise club on Monday night, after SUNsports had enquired for confirmation.
"No further comments on this issues, as it's only fair to allow Fiji Rugby Union due to process to take its course," stated the release.

FRU interim administrator Simione Valenitabua, in an earlier interview, said they are goin to name the new coach by the end of this week.
He indicated that they going to shortlist the candidates and start in the interview process,
Acting Flying Fijians head coach Senirusi Seruvakula and Frank Boivert are the locals applying for the job. It is understood overseas coaches who have applied includes Daryl Gibson and Frans Ludeke of South Africa.
