Coach Kunatuba Passes Away

Former Fijiana 7s and Namosi women’s head coach, Elenoa Kunatuba passed away yesterday morning. Kunatuba, 42, died at the CWM hospital after a short illness.

Former Fijiana 7s and Namosi women’s head coach, Elenoa Kunatuba passed away yesterday morning. Kunatuba, 42, died at the CWM hospital after a short illness.

This was confirmed to SUNSPORTS by her father Tevita Kunatuba.

She was the first of two female coaches from Fiji to attain a World Rugby Level 3 coaching accreditation.

The late Kunatuba was also the co-founder of the Marist Seahawks rugby club which has produced a number of national reps over the years.

Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, May 30.
