Meli Derenalagi will captain the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua side again when they take on the Blues on Saturday.

The Nawaka, Nadi native replaced Nemani Nagusa as captain against Brumbies two weeks ago after Nagusa was suspended for four weeks.

Head coach Mick Byrne said they wanted consistency in leadership.

“We are not looking to change anything there, we want consistency in the player group and we are not looking to making any changes in that,” Byrne said.

The Drua were on bye last week and the Easter break was an opportunity for the team to reflect on the eight rounds of the Super Rugby Pacific.

Byrne is hopeful that the side will do their best when they face the unbeaten Blues.

“We haven’t been dynamic enough. And we’ve been working hard at that.

“So I think we’ll see an improved performance and from our thoughts, it will be a lot more dynamic footwork and strong carries.

“Obviously the Blues top of the table; they have been doing a good programme process over the last 12 months,” Byrne added.
