Anaseini Natolo and her family travelled from Nadroumai Village in Nadroga to support Hurricanes winger Kini Naholo and Swire Shipping Fijian Drua centre Kalaveti Ravouvou at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva, last Saturday.

“These boys are from Nadroumai Village and we wore t-shirts to support them despite the fact that they play in different teams,” she said.

Natolo said the bus left their village at 8am and they were excited to watch them play.

Kini is the younger brother of former All Blacks winger Waisake Naholo.

“We sat at the concrete embankment and reminded them that although they are playing for different teams, they still come from one village.

“There are a lot of young boys back in the village who have the potential to play rugby at a professional level.

“For us in Nadroga, our bread and butter comes from rugby and we are crazy about the sport.”

Natolo said Ravouvou and Naholo paid for the 60-seater bus to transport them and the rest of the villagers to Suva.

“The boys had paid for the bus and we only paid for our own tickets,” she added.
