The Navua football side hopes to keep up with their winning momentum when they face hosts Tavua in their Digicel Fiji Premier League clash at Garvey Park on Sunday.

Speaking to SUNsports yesterday, Navua coach, Saiyad Ali said Tavua is an improved side with star players like Malakai Tiwa that joined them during the Transfer Window.

“We are very well aware of that and we are not taking this game lightly as we drew in the first round,” Ali said.

He said it would be a difficult match.

“However, I’ve confidence in my players.

“We will try to do our best to continue that winning momentum.”

Ali said unfortunately several of their key players like Jared Rongosulia have been ruled out due to double yellow cards and work commitment.

“I’m certain that other players will step-up in the match against Tavua.

“On game day we never know what will happen.

“We’ll miss Jared since he is a really a good player. He brings a lot of different dimension to the team, “he said.

“We are playing far away from Navua but I still urge the fans to rally behind the team and continue the support,” he added.

The match kicks-off at 3pm.
