Fiji Babaas to Decide for Nahehevia Sevens

The Fiji Babaas (members of the national men’s rugby sevens training squad) is likely to play in this weekend’s Fiji Bitter Nahehevia Sevens at Lawaqa Park, Sigatoka.
Tournament co-ordinator, Marika Kurisese, told SUNsports yesterday that they have spoken with the Fiji Barbarians officials who have made their booking but is yet to pay for their registration fees.
“There will be no special treatment towards team’s willing to participate as our registration states it will be on first come first serve basis,” Kurisese said.
“They (Fiji Babaas officials) said they will look into the payment for registration maybe today (yesterday) or tomorrow.
“Most of the teams have requested to do their payments this week so from last night (Sunday) until this morning (Monday) about six payments came in.”
Kurisese said 27 teams have been confirmed with five spots still available.
“Ten (10) teams have been calling in to make their payments today (yesterday) except the Fiji Babaas team. The registration for the men’s senior teams has been extended to tomorrow (today) afternoon,” he said.
