Fiji Leads Game Fishing Battle In Hawaii, NZ Closely Behind
Team Fiji has taken the lead on Day Two of the inaugural Pacific Cup Game Fishing tournament 2022 in Kona, Hawaii.

Team Fiji has taken the lead on Day Two of the inaugural Pacific Cup Game Fishing tournament 2022 in Kona, Hawaii.
Fiji leads with 550 points ahead of Team New Zealand One while Team New Zealand Two is yet to register a point.
New Zealand has three teams from the Bay of Islands Fishing Club, who is currently chasing the Fijian team, which is represented by the Denarau Game Fishing Club captained by the renowned local angler Justin Smith. They had a strong start in the competition.
Team Fiji caught two blue marlins, one by debutant Mark Ellison and the second one by Smith.
The side also has Max Oyagawa, the evergreen Marc McElrath, and Lesley Titter.
Titter and Ellison are new to the team and are trying to make a mark on the international fishing scene.
McElrath said, “The weather conditions has been excellent for the tournament and the Fijian team hopes this will hold out for the four days.”
The inaugural Pacific Cup is the premiere fishing tournament in Hawaii taking over from the Hawaiian International Billfish tournament.
