Fiji U20 Squad To Be Announced Next Tuesday

Digicel Fijian Under-20 football coach, Robert Mimms, is expected to announce the final 21-member squad next Tuesday for the 2023 FIFA U20 World Cup in Argentina.

This was confirmed by Fiji U20 team manager Kartik Reddy who also indicated that the team would be training in Ba for the next 10 days before leaving the country on May 13 for Argentina.

The team will travel to Suva next Thursday, to present their traditional i-tatau to the President Ratu Wiliame Katonivere at the State House.

Reddy told Fiji FA Media, that New Zealand-based Apisai Rabuka and Australian-based midfielder Arshad Khan were impressive during the training camp in Gold Coast, Australia, and may be named into the final squad.

He said the coaching staff of Mimms, Ronil Lal and Marika Rodu have emphasised the importance of doing well against their group opponents of Slovakia, USA and Ecuador.
