"For the Fijiana Drua contract, all the local players have received ours, however some of the overseas- based players have not received theirs as they did not have local bank accounts," Cumu said.

Members of the Vodafone Fijiana XVs team are having second thoughts about returning to training for the World XVs preparation after their three week break.

This comes after players claimed they were not paid the amount promised.

Strong running second five-eighth and assistant captain, Merewai Cumu, told SUNsports yesterday they were told by the team management that a daily allowance of $300 per day was approved by the Rugby House administration to be paid to them prior to their Wallaroos Test and Oceania Rugby Championship.

The players were paid only $100 per day.

The pay issue was also raised by captain, Sereima Leweniqila, in a Facebook post on Tuesday.

"For the Fijiana Drua contract, all the local players have received ours, however some of the overseas- based players have not received theirs as they did not have local bank accounts," Cumu said.

"The four days we were in Fiji we were paid $100 per day but we were told by our team management that we will be paid $300 per day when we leave for Australia."

"Our allowance was paid in installments; $800 was paid in the first payment in Australia, $700 before our last game and the remaining $800 was paid last week."
