Fiji's physicality is a concern for Portugal.

“We believe in our chance. Even if we have one per cent chance to win this game, it’s going to be awesome,” Tadjer said.

Portugal is wary of the Flying Fijians physicality as they countdown to their final pool match coming Monday at the Rugby World Cup.

At the post-match press conference against Australia head coach Patrice Lagisquet said there were a lot of things that the team needed to improve against Fiji.

Portugal lost 28-8 to Wales in their opener, drew 18-all with Georgia and went down 34-14 to Australia on Monday.

“The physical dimension is such from Fiji that they will be very challenging to play,” he said.

“It’s a very well-structured team, at a physical level. I am worried, they didn’t manage their attacking game against Georgia and they will manage that better against us.”

Hooker Mike Tadjer shared similar sentiments on the Fijian side after the Fijians have secured two wins so far.

“We believe in our chance. Even if we have one per cent chance to win this game, it’s going to be awesome,” Tadjer said.

“For some guys it’s going to be their last game (for Portugal) and we need to show again the good things about Portugal rugby.”

Portugal captain Tomás Appleton, said: “Of course we are playing (just) for us. We said at the beginning of the World Cup we want to compete against all sides. We want to compete against Fiji. It’s our last chance.”

Meanwhile, Fiji will need to win against Portugal to book its spot in the quarterfinals.

Fiji will play Portugal at 7am on Monday at Stadium de Toulouse, Toulouse, France.
