Former Fijian Warriors Winger Joins Fiji Sevens Squad

A former Fijian Warriors winger now based in England, has joined the Fiji Airways Fijian men’s rugby sevens team for the London Sevens, which kicks off tonight.

A former Fijian Warriors winger now based in England, has joined the Fiji Airways Fijian men’s rugby sevens team for the London Sevens, which kicks off tonight.

Solodrau Radianirova, was a member of Senirusi Seruvakula-coached Fijian Warriors squad in 2018. He started playing rugby while at Nasekula District School and hails from Wailevu Village outside Labasa in the province of Macuata. He joined Wardens and played in the local sevens’ tournaments. The speedster also represented Namosi in the Skipper Cup competition.

Radianirova was drafted into the national sevens extended squad by Gareth Baber but returned to play for his village team as they won the Macuata Rugby Union club competition. He left to join the British Army soon after that.

Radianirova now plays for Marlborough Rugby in England and was called in to replace Ioane Teba, who is still nursing his injury.
