Geoff Kilgour and his family came from Taupo in New Zealand to watch their first Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific match in Fiji last Saturday. They were among spectators at the HFC Bank Stadium to watch the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua beat the Hurricanes 27-24.
“We heard about this rugby game and thought we’d come and watch it,” Kilgour said.
He said they wanted to watch All Blacks No.8 and Hurricanes captain, Ardie Savea, since he was their favourite player.
“It was a good strong game from both sides and I don’t really care who wins.”
Kilgour said it was the first time for them to be in Fiji and they enjoyed the Fijian experience and hospitality given to tourists.
“I want to extend our gratitude to the Fijian people for being an amazing host, for being a wonder place to visit and I wished I’d come here before but definitely we will be back,” he added.
