Filipe Saumaisue and his relatives travelled from Nawaikama Village in Gau to Suva to witness his nephew Judah Saumaisue make his debut for the ACT Brumbies last Saturday.

“We left the village on Wednesday night and reached Natovi Jetty on Thursday morning in time to see our son play,” he said.

“I’m thankful to those that selected Judah as they saw his potential.

Filipe said they are supporting the Brumbies team.

“Rugby will be the winner at the end of the day. I’m confident that Judah will progress in his rugby career,” he said.

“He was brought up in a family that plays rugby, so it is not new because he carries the Saumaisue name.”

“I also like the Fijian Drua centre Iosefo Masi and I want to thank him for the way he played out there.”
