Holy cross College student Timoci Qerewaqa could not control his emotions after he won gold in the sub junior boys' long jump yesterday at the HFC Bank Stadium.
Asked what was on his mind, he responded: "I could not believe that I just won sold.
"I was placed fourth in the Taveuni zone and I thought I would not make it at the Coke Games.
"My coaches, Ilisoni Racumu and Pio Q.erewaqa saw my potential and encouraged me to come to Suva.
