Junior golfer Dawi Jee and Pacific Harbour based- Marica Margetts are among the top contenders in today’s Paradise Beverages (Fiji) Limited’s 2018 Ladies season opening at the Fiji Golf Club, Vatuwaqa, Suva.
Tournament organiser Susie Yee said yesterday the three-member progressive Ambrose tournament hopes to see a number of men and women golfers participating.
“We are looking at around 30 to 40 participants with not only women but men too, knowing it is just the beginning of the week,” she said.
“Since the merging of the women’s body with the men last year we’re looking at another grand competition year.”
Competition is open to all golfers with registration commencing from 11am and the shotgun start at11.30am. Prize-giving is scheduled at 5pm.
