It’s all down to serious business for the Suva Grammar School teachers as they turned their back on the media after dominating the Suva Zone Two competition yesterday.

The Jone Delai- coached SGS athletics team are on a mission to win this year’s Coca- Cola Games, after their 2020 campaign suffered a setback due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

But the toast for Grammar’s win was senior boys sprinter Tevita Sokiveta, who won three gold medals.

The Nawaikama, Gau native won the senior boy’s 100metres, 200m and the 4x100m relay.

“This is my final year in school and I want to stamp my mark,” he said.

“For us it’s back to hard work at training as we need to lift our standard for the Coca-Cola Games, where the atmosphere will be totally different.”

Grammar came from behind to beat Marist Brothers High School for the top spot.

In the girl’s competition, Grammar brushed aside strong challenges from St Joseph’s Secondary and Lomary Secondary School.
