Grey Joins Nadi FA Board

Former Fiji rep and coach John Grey has a vision to influence change and grow the game with Nadi Football association.
Grey is now a board member of Nadi FA.
The no-nonsense coach for Suva, Flagstaff FC, Marist St Columbus FC during the 70’s and 80’s said it was time to be part of the bigger picture.
“My passion for the game, the qualifications gained in coaching and player development through NZFA and FIFA, I feel it is time to give back to the game.
I would help lead the development of the game in the district of Nadi and have a positive impact for Fiji football.
Grey is president of the Ex FijiFootball Representatives Association a global association whose members have spoken about getting involved in the development of players and the game in Fiji.
“Globally, retired players have returned in various capacities as coaches, administrators as well as scouts.
We look forward to involving former players in some capacity.”
He hopes to involve professional players like Roy Krishna, Ivor Evans, Esala Masi and Anand Sami, Savenaca Waqas and Rusiate Waqa to mention a few.
“We want to encourage local players to dream big, to dream about playing in professional leagues globally and even aspire to join the English Premier League and Europe.

“Changes must be initiated now, and he feels that with new innovations, goals, and vision individual players can improve and contribute to the overall performance of the team.
Nadi and Denarau is the tourism capital of Fiji, and we hope to inspire the economic infusion via sporting tourism and to promote Nadi as tourism destination to the world.”
“The Fijian Drua is in our backyard, and we should take inspiration from their success.
We hope to make a difference to the Nadi players, their homse and communities and the game in Fiji.”
