Vinod Patel and Home & Living have confirmed their partnership with the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua team.

In a bid to join the Fijian Drua’s maiden campaign in the Super Rugby Pacific season both divisions of the VPCL group have signed a sponsorship agreement for the Player of the Match for all Drua’s home matches.

In confirming the sponsorship, the chief executive officer of Vinod Patel, Rahul Amin said, “Rugby is a very important part of Fiji and the Fijian Drua being our first team to feature in the Super Rugby competition; it was essential for us to be part of the campaign.”

He said they are fortunate that the Drua has given them the opportunity to be on this exciting journey as one of their partners.

“We are really excited about the sponsors of the Player of the Match, and we wish the team all the very best,” said Amin.

Fijian Drua CEO Brian Thorburn said they are delighted to welcome Vinod Patel and Home & Living into our family of sponsors.

“To have two great brands stepping in to sponsor us so early on our maiden Super Rugby Pacific voyage is a great boost to our club and the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua,” Thorburn said.

“Vinod Patel and Home & Living have come through on a sponsorship deal which sees them claim a coveted property for our home matches.

“The ‘Home and Living Player of the Match’ award, as it will now be known, is awarded to the best Drua player on the field as determined by our home match commentary team of Greg Clark, Sam Wykes and Lailanie Burnes.

“The prize is a $500 voucher to the awarded player for use in any Home & Living outlet in Fiji.

“The first Home and Living Player of the Match award was handed out to centre Apisalome Vota in that historic win last Friday over the Rebels. Six more Drua players are in line for this award this season.”

The Drua play their next match away against the Reds on Saturday night.
