Adi Kiti Naikasau, wife of the late Tabadamu Rugby Club manager Leo Naikasau (Snr), said they would continue with the legacy her husband had left behind.

“He touched the lives of many, a family man with a big heart. We will miss him,”Adi Kiti said.

Naikasau (Snr), who died during the Fiji Bitter Nawaka 7s at Prince Charles Park, Nadi on February 21, hails from Nakavika Village in Namosi.

“He is a man full of humour and he loves helping people who are in need and I want to be a Good Samaritan like Leo.

“He would do anything for anyone and I will have to slow him down because many times he is so exhausted and tired from attending to others and fails to give time to himself.

“I love him more because he was strong spiritually.

“We trust each other, always happy and caring and a firm believer that nothing was impossible.

“At the end of the day it’s not about money, knowledge or wealth you have, it’s all about preparing oneself for life after death.”

Ratu Imanueli Romatanitobua said Naikasau (Snr) was loved and respected by everyone he worked with.

“A simple man who opens up to people with a smile. I was proud to call him my friend and his passing has left a huge hole in my life.”

Adi Kiti said they would keep their business running and keep supporting the Tabadamu Rugby Club.

“My husband was a visionary man and had great plans for business and for the Tabadamu players.

“We often reflected on how we could contribute and give back to the players. We talked about rugby and talked about how the players were doing. He loved to inspire others to do better.”

Adi Kiti said he always often reminded the players to be consistent, dedicated and faithful to their calling.

He loved to support and look after grassroots players and many of them are now in the Fiji Airways Fijian 7s squad.

“Our house will always be opened to the Tabadamu team and to anyone who need our help.”

Players from the club who have played for Fiji at the World Sevens Series are Apenisa Cakaubalavu, Asaeli Tuivuaka, Terio Tamani, Leo Naikasau (Jnr) and so on.

Hundreds of people gathered on Friday to attend Naikasau Snr funeral.

He was buried at his residence at Nasasa Navua.
