Ten players from the Fiji Rugby Union's High Performance Unit including few of the Under 20's will have opportunity to join the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua.

Head Coach Mick Byrne revealed this during the official launch of the Drua home base in Waimalika in Nadi yesterday.

He confirmed that the players' list would be confirmed next week.

"We were working closely with Bill and Simon in the HPU. We're offering the opportunity for about ten players who will come in and experience training with us, to prepare them or introduce to them the expectations of a full time contracts moving forward," Byrne said.

"Great opportunity and it's our first chance to link up with the HPU and work through that."

Byrne indicated that set up of the full set of equipment at the newly opened Drua Home base was amazing.

He added that he only got to see such a set up with American NFL teams.

"It's fantastic," he said.

"I know there are some great facilities around the world, especially for big teams like the NFL teams, etc. But in rugby sense this is as good as I've seen, I'm massively impressed with the way it is.

He added that the whole team will march into the Home base from tomorrow for their induction.

"Preparation start, the boys are in on Wednesday (tomorrow).

"I'm sure they'll be delighted when they come in and see the new home," he said.

"We'll start Wednesday (tomorrow) and then we'll be training basically five days a week.

He added that there's a group of players that would be selected in the Flying Fijians at the end of this month.
