Ikanivere Skips Dream Of Being A Pilot, To Don Rugby Jumpers: Mother

Olimaipa Bogiciwa had no doubts that her son, Tevita Ikanivere would receive top awards in the inaugural Swire Shipping Fijian Drua awards night.

The single mother accompanied his son and future daughter-in-law Frances to witness his achieve­ments on Tuesday night at the Sofi­tel Fiji Resort and Spa in Denarau.

Ikanivere hails from Ono-i-Lau, He is the younger of two brothers.

He received the Head Coach’s award. He was recognized for his outstanding skills, dedication, and his immense contribution to the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua.

He also received the Swire Ship­ping Dausoko Award. The recog­nition of award was for the player who reflects everything the Fijian Drua is about.
