Investigate Naevo's Death, Bala Pleads

Former Minister for Youth and Sports, Parveen Bala, is calling on Government to conduct a thorough investigation following the death of an Under-20 rugby squad member, Pasikali Naevo.

The Year 13 student died on Sunday at the Lautoka Hospital after he collapsed during the team’s training session in the west.

He was attending Natabua High School (NHS). He was a member of the Nadi rugby U20 and NHS U18 that lost to Suva Grammar in the Deans semi-final last year. Under-20 players travelled from home to attend the weekend trainings.

“I’m calling for an investigation into the death of the U20 Fiji rugby player who passed away tragically this week,” Bala said.
