‘It’s Not About Me Anymore, It’s The Team’

Ben Volavola will continue to back the team selection despite missing out.

The 38 capped FIJI Water Flying Fiji­ans first five eight was dropped by head coach Simon Raiwalui in the 33-member team.

He added yesterday that he was obviously disappointed as he really wanted to be there for his third World Cup.

“Obviously, I experienced that early this morning (yesterday) when I had a conversa­tion with Simon,” Volavola said.

“He told me the reasons and all I can do is to accept it. There was obviously sadness and those kinds of feelings but now it’s not about me anymore. It’s about the boys, about the squad and the boys that they’ve picked.
