Jone Vinaka: Discipline Will Be Key
The captain said his team had nothing but respect for their opponents and would not take them lightly.

John Wesley College Under-19 captain Jone Vinaka believes discipline will be key when they meet Ba Provincial Free Bird Institute in the Vodafone Fiji Secondary Schools quarterfinals tomorrow at Garvey Park, Tavua.
The captain said his team had nothing but respect for their opponents and would not take them lightly.
“Ba Provincial Free Bird Institute is the top school from the West zone and we respect them,” Vinaka said.

“We know it will be a tough match for us but we will play according to our own game plan.
“Two main areas that we are working on are defence and discipline.
“We see discipline was one area we failed in during the Southern/Eastern zone competition and we are now focusing on improving that.”
The competition this year has been competitive, and Vinaka says they must work really hard if John Wesley are to win it.
Fiji National Rugby League executive chairman Peni Musunamasi confirmed a scouting agent from the Canterbury Bulldogs team will be in Tavua to look for potential players.
“I have got confirmation from the NRL club Canterbury Bulldogs that their scouting manager will be in Tavua this Saturday looking out for potential players,” Musunamasi said.
“There will be more NRL clubs coming in during the semi final and final matches.
“I want to wish all the schools the best of luck in their games on Saturday.”
He said the competition has moved up to another level, especially with the inclusion of many new schools from the Western zone making it into the quarterfinals.
Fiji Secondary Schools Rugby League vice-president Naisa Cama said that competition was heating up and all remaining schools should be ready to compete.
“We thank God for giving us the wonderful season and also thank Fiji National Rugby League chairman Peni Musunamasi and his hard working staff for their support,” he added.
“We also acknowledge Vodafone for their kind sponsorship which has enabled us to enjoy a successful competition.”
Defending champions Ratu Kadavulevu School plays Ratu Navula U19 in the feature match tomorrow.
The other U19 quater finals include: Tavua District vs Queen Victoria School, John Wesley vs Ba Provincial and Southern/Eastern zone winner Nasinu Secondary School vs Ba Methodist High School.
