Kavalicious Taveuni Backs Police 7s

The Keponi Paul captained- Police rugby team’s preparation for the Fiji Rugby Union sanctioned Super Sevens Series got a major boost after they received training kits from Nadi based- Kavalicious Taveuni Bar and Export, last week.
Company managing director Ana Malumuvatu said the donation was part of their social responsibility.
“I’ve been following sevens rugby for a long time,” she said.
“I know getting sponsorship during this pandemic time is tough but we had make it happen.”
Malumuvatu wished the Police side all the best in their campaign to win the four-tournament series.
The final series tournament is from November 12-13 at the ANZ Stadium, Suva. The Police Blue side have won all the three tournaments and they already have one- hand on the series trophy and the $20,000 prize money.
Police team manager Seremaia Sotia thanked the company for their support.
“It is a huge sponsor for us and it was a surprise,” he said.
“The owner had been a silent supporter and has been following us through the tournaments. Providing gears for the team is a big boost for the players.”
Sotia said 27 players are going to report to camp today.
“We’re going to have two teams in camp. Also we are waiting for the release of our players who are in the national sevens team’s training squad.”
The second placed team in the series will pocket $10,000 while $5000 goes to the third place side.
