Komo, Moce and the Suva Crusaders are the cricket teams to beat after day two of the Easter Cup Championship at Albert Park yesterday.
The teams remain undefeated after two games with organisers happy they are completing the competition on schedule.
Komo scored the upset of the day when they beat defending champions Suva Warriors by 14 runs.
Played over 20 overs, Cricket Fiji development manager Sitiveni Rokoro said despite the rain in the morning, it was perfect for cricket for the rest of the day.
“We are hoping for the weather remains the same throughout despite the weathermen forecasting a wet Easter weekend,”Rokoro said.
“We missed out last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic and hopefully there would be little disruptions this time.”
A total of 14 teams are taking part in the annual event which ends on April 10.
The 14 teams included Lau island teams Moce, Oneata, Kabara, Komo and Cicia.
Results: Ono-i-lau beat Lakeba by 1 wicket, Crusaders beat Oneata by 88 runs, Kabara beat Cicia by 3 wickets,Moce beat West Wingmen by 96 runs.
Fixtures Today: (API) 8am Moce vs Masters; 11 CF Invitational vs Namuka; 2pm Western Wingmen vs Komo.-Bye Suva Warriors.
