Labasa U16 On Track

The Fiji Football Association’s Un­der-16 Youth League competition kicked off at the Seaqaqa ground last Saturday.

Defending champions Labasa U16 side started strongly as they thrashed Savusavu 8-0.

Labasa U16 coach, Alvin Chand said there is nothing secret about the win.

“It’s just dedication and hard work during training that pays off.” he said.

“The boys played well last Saturday because they have a good relationship amongst each other.

“They play as a unit and as a family. That is how we are able to tackle every aspect of the game.

“The physical training gave us an edge to reocrd our big win”, the U16 coach said.

“We are confident that we will retain the championship title.”

Chand said they would like to thank par­ents and guardians for their unwavering support to the team and encouraged fans to show their support by turning up to their next game.

The Labasa U16 will play against Dreketi as a curtain raiser to the Labasa League tournament.
