The Labasa football side are wary of giant killers Tavua as they host today’s Vodafone Premier League clash at Subrail Park,
Tavua last Sunday, caused the biggest upset when they beat VPL points table leaders Nadi 1-0 at Garvey Park.
Labasa Football Association president Riyaz Khan said yesterday that they are not going to underestimate Tavua.
“The Tavua team consists of young players and after their win over Nadi they must be confident and eager to continue on with the momentum,” Khan said.
“Our coach, Bal Sanju Reddy has made a game plan and I’m sure the players will execute it well and try to get more points.”
“Unfortunately, Christopher Wasasala will miss this match as during our first match two weeks ago he was given the red card. Training has been ongoing although continuous heavy rain has brought about disruptions. All players are present and there is no problem or any dispute in regards to the transfer window.”
