Labasa Wins BOG After Three Years
FARMTRAC Labasa FC made history after clinching their third Battle of the Giants (BOG) title after beating defending champions Rewa FC at Lautoka’s Churchill Park.

FARMTRAC Labasa FC made history after clinching their third Battle of the Giants (BOG) title after beating defending champions Rewa FC at Lautoka’s Churchill Park.
The Babasiga Lions are $17,000 richer and are taking away the new Punjas BOG trophy to the Friendly North.
Labasa Football vice president, Hamzah Hussein said Labasa football had been around for so many years (since 1938).

He said some players had emerged in the team from grass root level.
“We have maintained the core of the team for the last 5 years,” Mr Hussein said.
“I congratulate our team for winning BOG.”
He said the current captain of the team was Veteran Goal keeper Simione Tamanisau, who had played a huge role in winning this game.
Labasa currently are the winners of the BOG, Inter-District Championship (IDC) and Champion vs Champion tournament.
“We will be defending our IDC trophy next month,” he said.
