Lautoka football has qualified for the 2018 OFC Champions League quarterfinal after defeating AS Venus 2-1 yesterday.
Both goals were scored by striker Samuela Drudru.
The men in Blue beat Madang FC 3-1 in their first game and will now focus on their final game against Auckland City which will decide which team will qualify as the pool winner to the quarterfinal.
Coach Kamal Swamy said their plan was to strengthen their defence.
“We are happy that we got the victory which was positive for us,” Swamy said.
“We were positive that we will play well in the defence which was our main strength,” Swamy said.
“We will now watch Auckland and then see how we can play against them.”
Lautoka play Auckland City at 2pm on Saturday.
