On a brighter note, Jackson said openside flanker Kitione Salawa has recovered and would be available for selection against the Waratahs on Saturday.
“Salawa is fully fit and has been working hard,” Jackson remarked.
Caleb Muntz suffered a shoulder injury against Highlanders and will be out this weekend while Ilaisa Droasese is still recovering from his wrist injury.
Jackson said although they are at the bottom of the points table, the competition is still wide open.
“The results differ every week and it’ll come down towards the end where by then fatigue will start to creep in,” he added.
After seven losses, Jackson said critics from fans on social media do get to the players but they are doing all they can to keep them focused.
“We’re talking positively to them as we fixed up a few things before they get going. We’ve a young group of players playing Super Rugby and things like this do come up but it’s best to keep their heads raised all the time.”
Jackson has called on fans to keep their faith on the team.
“If it wasn’t for the fans we wouldn’t be playing Super Rugby, so give these young boys time to get used to what it’s like in Super Rugby.”
