The Suva Grammar School Under-17 rugby side escaped with a 22-21 win over Saint Bede’s College at Subrail Park in Labasa, this afternoon.
The win was part of the Vodafone Secondary Schools Dean's Trophy national play-offs. With that Suva Grammar also qualified for the Vodafone Dean's Trophy national quarterfinals.
Grammar lock, John Jikoibau’s try enabled his school to regain the lead after trailing 22-21.

Speaking to SUNsports, Jikoibau, described the game as an intense battle.
"The glory and honour goes back to the Almighty and I am happy to be at the right place to score the try," he said.
Jikoibau said prior to the game, they had prepared for two weeks and knew that St Bede’s would be a threat.
Grammar U17 captain, Tomasi Mafi, said the President's Cup win would be a memorable one.
"We knew St Bede’s will look for an upset in front of their crowd," he said.

U15: Nasinu Secondary School 18-3 Holy Cross College, Lelean Memorial School 23- 0 Shri Gur Nanak Khalsa College.
U17: Lelean Memorial School 15-0 Labasa College, Suva Grammar 22-21 St Bede’s College.
