Rewa will be without star defender Amani Makoe in tomorrow’s Vodafone Premier League clash against Ba at Ratu Cakobau Park, Nausori.
Makoe has been suspended for two matches after he copped a red card in their clash against Lautoka.
Speaking to SUNsports yesterday, Rewa Football Association president Nazeel Buksh said this week’s clash is a crucial one for them as they are eyeing to win their first match of the season.
“Training is coming up as planned and the players are focused to take on west giants Ba,” Buksh said yesterday.
“We’re pleased not to incur any injury with the players except for Amani Makoe. So, nevertheless we have few players within the team who have the potential and we’re also happy to have Luke Logasalato and Diego Maximo joining the side for this game.
“Our major downfall in the two previous matches was on our scoring department.
“Our forwards coach Keni Doidoi is trying his best to work on this aspect of play and at the same time sharpen up our attacks and we’re hoping to get a better result this weekend. “We’re aware how Ba plays and expect some firing action from them as they have just got back from the OFC Champions League. “So for that they are more prepared compared to us but we will not underestimate the potential of our players and we give Ba a good game.”
Buksh has called urged their fans to be at the ground to cheer on the team.
