The Vodafone/Fiji FA Awards night special guest speaker from the FIFA Legends programme, Mikaël Silvestre is looking forward to meet Fijian football lovers today.
The former French international who played for Manchester United arrived into the country with his wife Sev and were accorded a special traditional welcoming ceremony at the Nadi International Airport yesterday.
He was welcomed by Fiji Football Association president Rajesh Patel, national head coach Christophe Gamel together with senior Fiji FA officials.

“I am excited to be here and meet Fijians and discover Fijian football,” Silvestre said.
“I have been invited all over the world and Fiji is special as well.
“I’m looking forward to meet Manchester United fans in Fiji and to exchange the love for football. To the fans it does not matter where and which level you play in but always give your best shot.”
“This is part of the FIFA Legends programme where I’m in the compliance committee and we’ve 500 members ,” said Patel.
“We are looking forward to meet other football legends as they come through and we will keep trying our best to bring them in.”
The 2019 awards night will be held at the Sofitel Fiji Resort & Spa in Denarau, Nadi on Saturday.
