Nadi Upset Defending Skipper Champs

Defending Skipper Fiji Rugby Championship winners Ram Sami Suva went down, 20-12, to Jack’s Nadi at the ANZ Stadium in their clash yesterday.

Defending Skipper Fiji Rugby Championship winners Ram Sami Suva went down, 20-12, to Jack’s Nadi at the ANZ Stadium in their clash yesterday.

What happened:  Suva opened the scoreboard with a try to first five eighth, Jone Manu and the conversion going wide for a 5-0 lead.

Nadi replied through a try to fullback Semesa Muaidonu as they were tied 5-5 in the 22nd minute.

Nadi converted a penalty to lead at the break.

Halftime: Suva 5-8 Nadi

Nadi extended their lead after the breather with an uncoverted try to No. 8, Sela Makavu.

Nadi winger Vilikesa Driu scored their third try as they took a comfortable 20-5 lead with conversion going over.

Suva narrowed the deficit with a last minute try to debutant Kolinio Bulabalavu.
