The Nadroga rugby team needs to play smart rugby in their INKK Farebrother-Sullivan Trophy challenge against Naitasiri at Ratu Cakobau Park, Nausori, tomorrow.
This was the gist of Nadroga Rugby Union president Jiuta Waqavonovono’s interview with SUNsports yesterday.
“We had normal preparation and all the players at camp are ready for the much-awaited match,” he said.
“The current adverse weather condition has been a major challenge in our preparation.”
Waqavonovono said they were unable to train at Lawaqa Park in their preparation.
“The grounds were occupied as the Malomalo Sevens was held at the venue the past two days (Wednesday and Thursday),” he said.
“The team is currently camping at Lawaqa.”
Waqavonovono said he was glad to have Aca Ratuva, Sireli Bobo and Asaeli Boko in the Nadroga coaching panel.

Boko is also a former Namosi head coach that won the Farebrother Trophy. He was a former Nadroga and Flying Fijians No.8. Boko also played for Sale Sharks and Saracens in the Gallagher Premiership in England.
“Most of these coaches got their Level three World Rugby coaching accreditation,” Waqavonovono said.
“The three coaches along with the management were the ones that were bringing Nadroga up in the Skipper Cup competition this season.”
Waqavonovono could not confirm the participation of the Fijian Drua players in their Farebrother clash.
The Drua players are Michael Naitokani, Apisalome Vota, Taniela Rakuro and Emosi Tuqiri.
