The combination of Semesa Naiseruvati and Bobby Prasad won the Cakes 2000 Limited - Fiji sponsored Masters Pairs 2020 tournament at the Suva Bowling Club on Sunday.

The team defeated David Aitcheson and Martin Fong 17-7 in the final.

Prasad, who is based in Nadi, has been playing very well in the two-day event.

“The tournament was overwhelming where there were 12 teams involved and competition was tough,” Prasad said.

“Semesa and I played well and were successful in the final. It was pretty complicated at times but the depth in the game of my teammate paved the way to glory.”

Prasad said they will defend their title next year and have been both optimistic in coming events too.

Tournament coordinator Martin Fong said:  “There were 12 teams that competed for the top honours. “It was a grand competition where the cream of the sport battled it out.”

He thanked the owners of Cakes 2000 Limited - Fiji for their sponsorship.
