Namosi Women Book Semifinal Berth
The Namosi Women’s rugby team booked their spot in the ANZ Marama Championship semifinal after they beat Navosa 19-5 at Ratu Cakobau Park, Nausori, today.

The Namosi Women’s rugby team booked their spot in the ANZ Marama Championship semifinal after they beat Navosa 19-5 at Ratu Cakobau Park, Nausori, today.
Namosi women’s head coach Elenoa Kunatuba said Navosa gave them a tough match.
“We’re happy with the win and we will go back to prepare for the semifinal,” she said.
“I reckoned we played into Navosa’s game in the first half where they led 5-0 in the first half.”
Kunatuba who also guided Naitasiri to the Marama Championship final in 2020 hopes to achieve the same for Namosi as part of her three-year plan.
“Mostly our game plan is to spread the ball out as wide as we can and as quickly as possible. We realised it was not suitable for us so we changed the game plan in the second half.”
Namosi lost to Yasawa in last year’s semifinal and hope to secure a place in the final.
