The Nasinu football team intends to win a few matches if they are to remain in the Digicel Fiji Premier League.
This was the gist of head coach Tagi Vonolagi's interview after their 2-1 loss to Suva at the Fiji FA Academy ground in Vatuwaqa, Suva, last Sunday.
"We had our chances as the game could have gone either way, but we're not worried about the competition as we're building up this team," the former national football captain said.
"We fielded in a young 15-year-old player that played full-time so it's all part of the progress."
Vonolagi said his side had a few minor improvements as part of his build-up campaign for the DFPL season.
"We have a few senior players that are not coming but these young players will build the team-up," he said.
"The boys are playing well it's just the finishing that is an area that we need to improve on."
Vonolagi said the team would also need to improve their fitness level.
"The players did well in transitioning play from defence to attack but we were poor from attack to defence," he said.
"We will need to cover up on those transitioning play."
Vonolagi had fielded five youth players against Suva.
"Discipline is not a problem as these young players are listening to the instructions but with more game time they'll be there," he said.
