Nasinu To Focus On Rewa

Giant killers Nasinu Foot­ball suffered their first defeat against Nadi 4-2 in the third round of the DPL at the ANZ Stadium in Suva on Sunday.

The win gave the Jetsetters the much needed six points to move to third place on the standings while Nasinu dropped to fifth place.

Nasinu not wasting time are preparing to face premier league leaders Rewa this weekend.

“Rewa is a formidable side and they have some very good ball players,” head coach Mira Sahib said.

“We relaxed too long after tak­ing the lead against Nadi and it worked against us,” he said.

“We have to remain focused and be consistent if we are to win our remaining games.

Sahib added that some senior players will have to rise to the occasion.

“Senior players like Jonetani Buksh, Jasnit Vikash and Jope Naivalu have to step up to lead the team,” he said.

“This week we will work on our defense and finishing.

“We want to give the Delta Ti­gers a good game.

“I urge the fans to come in numbers and support the boys.”
