Melania Seruwaia, 19 of Jasper William High School originally from Bureiwai, Nakorotubu, Ra won the senior girls 400m, 800m and assisted her school to win the grade’s 4 x 400m relay.

Samuela Vunivalu and Melania Turaga took out the Best male and Best Female athlete award during the Coca-Cola Lautoka Yasawa Zone at Churchill Park in Lautoka yesterday.
Vunivalu took out two gold medals in the senior boys’ long Jump (6.8m) and triple jump (13.61m).
The Nawaka, Nadi native had won the bronze medal in intermediate boys division at the Coke Games last year.

“I am happy for the win and I hope to win a gold medal this time around,” Vunivalu said.
