Navua Receives Heavy Beating
“In my opinion the ground is not in a playable condition. It’s too hard. You can see all the balls are just bumpy. It’s very difficult to connect passes. But since it was the last game I think it would not make any difference in the league."

Policeman Rahul Krishna scored twice for Nadi to beat Navua 5-0 in the final round of the Digicel Premier League at the Prince Charles Park in Nadi yesterday.
Nadi took the lead in the 37th minute of play from Jaygray Sipakana’s goal which started with the solo brilliance touch of Laisenia Naioko from the corner.
Half-time: Nadi 1-0.
Krishna then scored the first of his two goals with a fine touch shot past Navua goalie Rinish Kumar to push for Nadi’s 2-0 lead.
Few minutes later Krishna scored another goal from the Navua defence blunder.
Then veteran Vuniuci Tikomaimereke came off the bench to score the team’s fourth goal.
Nippy Ashneel Kumar had the last laugh to bring down the curtain on their DPL season.
Nadi coach Viliame Toma said, “It was a great match, the boys did live up to the game plan. We have some areas to work on for the IDC.”
Navua coach Saiyad Ali said, “In my opinion the ground is not in a playable condition. It’s too hard. You can see all the balls are just bumpy. It’s very difficult to connect passes. But since it was the last game I think it would not make any difference in the league."
“That’s why I played a lot of young players; our Under 15 and U17 players.”
