New Women’s Winner For The Marist 7s

There is going to be a new women’s winner of the Fiji Bitter Marist 7s tournament after defending champions Police bundled out at the Cup semifinal today.

They were beaten 19-12 by DXC Seahawks at the ANZ Stadium, Suva.

Seahawks coach, Elenoa Kunatuba, told SUNsports the win was a sweet revenge after they lost in last year’s Cup final.

“We came here and took one game at a time,” she said.

“We just wanted to play to see where we are at the moment and hats off to the girls.

"I think the girls wanted this win to square off last year's final. I’m quite happy with the girls and their current performance."

Seahawks face Army in the women's Cup final.

Army thrashed Wardens 40-0 in the first second Cup semi-final.
