The Macuata women’s rugby team is a step closer to fulfilling their promise of reaching the Royal Tea Ranadi Cup grand-final.
The players made the promise to their coach Motu Lalagavesi.
However, they have a tough task in the semifinal where they travel to Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka to face Kadavu on Saturday.
The other semifinal sees Vatukoula travelling to Labasa to take on Cakaudrove at Subrail Park.
The Motu Lalagavesi coached-side beat Rewa 33-20 at Subrail Park, Labasa, last Saturday.

Rewa team manager, Luisa Uluilakeba said whatever the final result was she was grateful to the players for their participation.
“It wasn’t easy for them to travel across to Labasa, away from home and to play under the hot sun but I’m happy with their performance,” Uluilakeba said.
She added that they would come better prepared next year.
Both semifinals kick-off at 11am.
