Our Sevens Team, Officials Returning Home Soon
The Fiji Airways Fijian sevens team are expected back in the country this week, says Fiji Rugby chief executive officer John O’Connor.

The Fiji Airways Fijian sevens team are expected back in the country this week, says Fiji Rugby chief executive officer John O’Connor.
“They have a squad and management that oversees them, if they are not in tomorrow (today) then it is most probably Thursday (tomorrow),” O’Connor said yesterday.
The 13-member Fijian side have been away for more than two weeks playing in the HSBC sevens series – the Singapore and recently the Vancouver 7s.
Fiji won the former after beating New Zealand 28-17.
Australia notched the third place after beating Ireland who finished fourth 21-19 in that match.
Fiji lost to Argentina 29-10 on Monday while Australia finished third again after their narrow 21-19 win against Samoa.
“There is a possibility that they remain in camp to prepare for the next one,” he said.
Fiji is on the draw for the Tolouse sevens on May 20-22, and then the London leg on May 28-29 then finally the Los Angeles 7s on August 27-28. Fiji is now on sixth spot of the HSBC Sevens Series now.
