Fijian Warriors captain Mosese Voka is confident that their young players are capable of retaining the World Rugby Pacific Challenge that gets underway at the ANZ Stadium, Suva today.

“I do believe in these young boys,” the Fiji Airways Flying Fijians loosie said.

“I’ve faith in them and I do not think there will be much difference between us and the other teams.”

Voka said the young players are blending in well and really working hard in order to be named in the 22-member squad for today’s clash against Samoa A.

“I’m really confident that these young players can retain cup this year.”

However, Voka said that he was aware of the fact Samoa A, Tonga A and Junior Japan would be gunning for the PRC title.

Meanwhile, Samoa A captain Henry Stowers said they are ready to take on the Fijians.

Speaking at the Grand Pacific Hotel, he said: “We are enjoying the scenery and enjoying the people, also we are looking forward to our first game tomorrow because it will be a big challenge for us.”

Stowers said he’s confident of starting their campaign with a win.

“We all know as that we can only be as confident as how good we prepare, so we have prepared well for this and we are ready.”

He said it would now be an easy task for them as they would be playing the defending champions on their home ground.

“It will also be a huge test for the players and a show of true character for them as well.”

Stowers called on Samoans living in Fiji to come out in big numbers and support them. The Fiji and Samoa game will be kicking-off at 5pm while Tonga A face Junior Japan at 2.30pm.
