Pacific Games: Fiji Women Wins Historic Gold In First 3x3 Basketball Competition

Fiji has won its first historic gold in the Pacific Games women’s 3x3 basketball event.

Packed with experience, the side thrashed Cook Islands 20 - 9.

Team captain Mickaelar Mendez was emotional after the 10-minute game and dedicated the win to her team.

“As much as we won the game for ourselves, this was for our team also.”
